Title: I've lost my DIAGNOSTICS PORT!!!

Can anyone who has (or knows where to find it) a '92 Golf MK3 Gti... please explain to me where to find this damn diagnostics port??

I have looked behind the ashtray but I cant seem to find anything?

Also..... has anyone used their own diagnostics HW/SW on this model before?
