Title: Whats this worth ???

Im either trading my car in or selling it in the next couple of month but ive no idea what its worth so i was wondering if some of you here could help me with a price as i suspect dealerships to offer me way less than it will be worth.

So its a 52 plate mk4 TDI 100bhp with PD engine. Black, 62k miles, headunit changed for single kenwood CD player. Its also been fitted with a toad AI606 remote alarm- thatcham approved. apart from that totally standard. Air con, 5 speed,

Full VW service history and will be serviced prior to sale (cambelt will more than likely be changed then aswell). Test and tax NOV (if im selling private ill probably get the test done as it wouldnt fail on anything)

In excellent condition

Please can you give me some idea of price, hoping for more than 6k

If it's any help Parkers Guide for your motor is as follows:

Private Good Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£ 6930
Private Poor Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£ 5675
Part Exchange Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£ 6205

Obviously then the extras you've added and tax etc have to be taken into account in addition to the above.

Post by: Mantamad on 17 September 2006, 22:22: You will probably find that the trade in price will vary between dealers and of course on what vehicle you want to buy as it depends on their profit margin on the particular car and of course how well you can haggle.

Post by: Mantamad on 17 September 2006, 22:24: I forgot to add..........try and sell privately if you can then go looking for your new car and haggle for a good deal as you have no trade in, or better still, buy your new (replacement) car privately as well.

Am looking to buy a new car within a week or so, I haveto trade this in as i cant be without a car and dont really have the time to sell it privately. Think i have Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£5800 still on finance, hopefully the garagewill offer me that ;) or somewhere near it !!
