Title: Just sold the VR and bought a Mk1 (whats happening to me?)
Post by: HARDCOR3 on 16 September 2006, 18:23: Yep you've read it right, i've sold the VR and bought a 'Y'regÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â Lhasa Green Mk1 1.8 GTI, totally original on the original BBS, needs a bit of tidying and MOT, but it'll get there, i just can't work out whats happening to me..... :huh:

Pics 2morrow when i pick it up.... :smug:

Post by: HARDCOR3 on 16 September 2006, 20:08: I'll be checking the chassis No, tomorrow, to see if it starts with EW, as it has factory sunroof, green glass, leather steering wheel, twin light grille, so i've got miself wondering, if it could be a campaign, as it was owned by someone to do with gti owners club, then next owner showed it, till it got a little tatty, then it's sat in a garage for 4 years, till 2morrow :smug:, it had a brand new clifford fitted to it 2yrs ago, that cost more than i paid for the car.... :smug:

Just fancied giving one a whirl, see what i can do to one, sick of ppl askin me to do a mk1 or 2, then this 1 came up at a stupid cheap price, so i thought why not???......

Picking it up later at about tea-time, as for plans, dunno yet, extended arches, slammed, fashion victim rims, new paint, re-trim, usuall crap..... :smug:

mate if it is a campaign i'd be carefull of what you do to it. be better to restore it and flog it then get any old mk1 and play with that.

thats why i'm unsure of what i'm doing yet, if it turns out to be a campaign, it'll be a rare en as they mostly seem to come on an 'A'reg, so if it is, it'll just be back to standard..... :smug:

turns out to be the fastest i've drove and the fastest he's drove, it really did go like sh1t off a shovel, would've pissed on my old green en, and BIG DUB tried having a pop in his VR(dyno'd at 197bhp) and it left his.... :laugh:
