Title: Gear box problem

Having problems with the gearbox....won't go in reverse, 1st, 2nd or 5th. Could it be the gear linkage or will it need a new gear box?

If it was Mk1 or 2 I'd definately say check your linkage before condeming the box.........not so clued up on Mk3, are they cable operated? '6 or someone will be along soon to advise, I'm sure ;)

Probably the cable linkage. I take it goes in 3rd and 4th ok?

Yeah, it run fine in 3rd and 4th but it'll burn out the clutch if i drive it in this state..how easy is the linkage to fix?
