I had a C reg Passat Estate with manual steering. Wasn't bad until I had to park in a tight spot. Managed good tough. Wish I had kept that old girl now. It was of the era that had a front end like an Audi 80 or a Scirroco. Took a beating too. Maybe i need to pick up another for a beater/hauler. Make a good second car. :) Best 100 quid I ever spent

i had a passat estate 16v h reg, a real workhorse, very fast and only cost me 2.5k 3 years ago. unfortunately she got stacked a year and a half ago :'(
-
I wish mine was a 16v. it was the old 1.6 with a carb on it. didn't go for anything but seemed to tow things around well and could load half the world in the boot. :)

yep the old girl has gone!!! it got me to ferrybridge to meet jasonpi, had a blast on the motor way and couldnt beleive how quick it was!!! my mrs was struggling to keep up in the mk4!!!! lol (women drivers!!), had a message from jason to say he got home to newcastle ok, few niggles but hes chuffed i thinks!!, had a long day as been to lincoln after then onto newark to pick up a new 8v , which me and wifey are chuffed with as got PAS (which is what wifey was 'nagging' about on the old one!!) so ive got some thing to mess around with tomorrow !!!this things we do in the name of VW ahh!!! ;D

Nice one, you can't beat a bit of old skool, especially if it's in the form of a mk2 :)
