Title: diagnostic software

Dunno if anyone has seen this, but if you want to find out what your car's engine is doing, then you can get this software called VAG-COM that'll read fault codes and access all sorts of useful stuff that's stored in the engines management system.

And you'll just need a windows laptop and one of these connecting cables:

I believe they also have older versions available for older cars.
