My new gti has got a great big hole in the roof filled with some glass monster , anyone any ideas , maybe a bit of engineering and weld ina a plate (without buckling the roof) maybe motorsport plug it (plate and retro rivets) or just leave it where it is ? my dad deals with mgs so perhaps a full length afair ??? any ideas

how big is the hole? is it original sunroof sized?
-
id guess so ? Whats so special about a corrado sunroof ive heard they are a bit different
-
they tilt and slide i think, you could just get a steel sunroof from the scrappy and fit that?
-
but wont i need the like tray thingy that it slides into , this one i got only lifts up
-
yes you will, but that will be attached to the sunroof you get from the breakers
measure it first though
-
depends it sounds like your sunroof is an aftermarket affair which means you wont be able to just fit an original sunroof. best bet is to get a photo up then we can see wat we are dealing with....
-
Its definetly non stock , maybe a trip to the breakers with an angle grinder see about chopping a chunk outa mk2 then having a play with what i got :undecided: ill get some pics up as soon as
-

after market sunroof. you'll need to weld in a new roof if you want a regular one.
-
What about B**TARDISING in a mk2 one ? if i cut the roof out one i could be able to weld in the lower tray and runner to my current roof ??????
-
Anyone any ideas at all ???
