Title: Newbie question re GTI stereo
Post by: overthehill on 12 September 2006, 14:48
Hi - my GTI was supposed to arrive at the beginning of September but hasn't.  Dealership has lent me a Jetta SE which I believe has the same stereo and speakers as the GTI.  I'm no audiophile, but I like my music loud and bassy.  Coming from an A4, it's not very good at all.  Bass distortion, especially in the front.  Is the speaker upgrade worth it, or does it call for something more radical - any suggestions welcome.  Thanks

Any self powered 8" Bass tube is all that is required ( I recommend the Bazooka ) - thats it m8

I can understand that would increase the bass but wouldn't the existing front speakers still suffer distortion?

Matey!  The sound pack is an UTTER waste of money!  We're currently in DEEP discussion with VW about our issues with the soundpack.  I would take Docs advice and it should solve the vibrating door card!

Sounds like a plan then - anyone know where I can get one fitted in Manchester/North West.

Also, would it affect a Parrot bluetooth car kit?
