Title: help with a price for buying a golf

hey, my uncles got a 52 plate 2003 model golf gt tdi 150ps in black with 60,000 miles, he selling it soon and says he wants around 8 for it, do you think that is a good price ??? any ideas on what i should be paying for this car?? ive tried the valuation sites and they all giving me differant answers.... cheers

that sounds a reasonable price  :undecided:

has it got Full service history? has the cambelt been changed at 60K? if so what options does it have

i'd say 8K is about right, though you can always ask for a family discount if you're thinking about buying it :grin:

not sure about cambelt, but he's had it from new, and serviced it reguarly with dealer i think, it got air con, sporty vw alloy wheels etc

I would go for it, the price doesnt sound bad, its the quickest diesel and atleast you know the owner and whats happened to the car which is the worst thing about buying privatly.
