All,
I'm a newbie to this site and was looking for some advice from the people in the know.
I've just received my new Golf GTI (it's a company car) and it was specced with the leather trim - well, someone made a major cockup at the leasing company and forgot to order this trim so it's come with the standard trim.
Is it possible for the dealer to retro-fit the leather seats? I have been told that they think then can but the leather trim is also fitted into the doors panels which I believe they can't change, and I have been told that the electronic lumber adjustment or heated seats cannot be fitted!
Any advice sincerely appreciated! I may refuse the car and wait for a replacement but I have had to wait 3 months for this one! Does anyone know what the latest delivery times are?
Thanks in advance

It will be a dogs dinner ( in comparison to factory ) - wait for the proper trim - Its very, very difficult to get factory spec trimming done.

YUp don't except it and demand the correct spec asap as it's not your fault.

Hi all - So how long is the current lead time for a new GTI please ?

i would hazard a guess of 12-16 weeks depending on your spec :undecided:
it will be worth the wait!! Shame i can't afford one

It's 12 weeks if you can find a dealer who has an allocation. If a dealership doesn't have an allocation then they have to wait a month to oreder one. We have an allocation available at the mo if you want one i can get one ordered from my dealership today. I've got a grey manual one with full leather that could be delivered this week if anyone wants it.

Thanks for the replies.
I've rejected the car and have been advised that I should get the replacement by Christmas so hopefully Santa will be bringing me a nice pressie!
