OK firstly I am very dubious of the difference one of these will make. is this the usual Ebay rubbishy resistor that causes bore-wash through over-fueling? or is this one different and actually worthwhile?

seen a couple of different sellers offering these for around the same price. anyone had any experience of these?
-
erm, just more fuel i think.
-
Not acording to the write up. In my opinion yes they work and are what they say they are. All the seller will have done is copied the settings from a well know chip company like superchips and reproduced them. Its really very simple. I had a friend who did the same with a 386 computer and a little chip box and software. Dont expect massive gains but at the end of the day its only £22. For that money id be very happy for a little increase and smoother power delivery with less digi lag.

seriously thinking about ordering one.
-
go for it.
-
i would but my PP is f**ked at the moment..
May wait and see if i can use my mates PP.
-
In the Mk2 Maintainence Section there is a way to Tune a Mk2 8v Digi and by doing significantly reduce Digi lag
Go and ave a butchers
-
Just ordered one. May attempt a write up when fitted.
-
I bought one and was well impressed! no noticable power increase as such but the digilag was long gone!
-
I keep meaning to give one of these a go but othr bits keep falling off or breaking on the damn car so I never have the money for one!
As it;s now set up and running the best it ever has with no DIgilag already I wonder if one of these will really perk it up even more!

hopefully i will be able to ell you when i get mine through.
not that i can drive my car at the moment though
Should be here Monday/Tuesday.
And how can i tell if it's a cheap resistor or the real deal!?
-
if you have to open up your ECU and fit a 'piggyback' chip then you know its the real deal. The resistor mod requires you to splice a resistor into the inlet air temp sender wiring!
-
That one definately isn't a resistor style one. It will replace a chip inside your ecu that looks the same and contains the fuelling map for your car.
-
chipped,
good results..see my thread called 'i've just been chipped'
Piss easy to do aswell.

Ive just ordered mine from e-gay
