Title: 17" Split rim alloys on Mk2 conversion!

hey all,

I am in the middle of putting a Vr engine into my Mk2 Golf with the subfame suspension breaks etc of a Vr6! i have a set of 17" split rim to go onto her when she is complete! but the suspension i have is lowered 35mm

will the 17" fit no problem or will i have to get the arches rolled back??
and help given Greatly recieved!!

Probably rub because of the weight of the VR engine

Might be best to run a coil over setup on it so you can dial your height to where you want it. depending on the wheel and the width you will probably need your arches rolled. 17's are a bit tight on a standard height 16v. :)

Blue Mk2 it does have Vr springs and dampers on her! so they should be stonger to cope with the weight of the vr6 engine anyways

but becaus eof the 17" i was worried about rubbing!


8916vGTI i think you have just answered my question a set of adjustable coilover would be perfect! dont know why i never thought of that!! doh!!

p.s anyone recomend where to get a set of coil over suspension??
