can anyone tell me how to take the glovebox out of my mk2 dash??

dont even bother mate, give up while you're ahead! why do u need to remove it?

I spent half a day trying this and all I got was bashed and bleeding hands. removed the whole dash in the end :smiley:

Yeah its not the easiest of jobs. My method is as follows.

Remove undertray
Remove all screws holding front of glovebox and also the bolt that holds the latch mech.
Remove Light, pop it down then disconect it.
Remove dash bolt on side of dash, open the door and you should see it.
Remove lower dash bolt which should be revealed when you removed the undertray.

Now for the fun! Grab the bar the runs under the glovebox and pull towards you. Be carefull as the back has a sharp metal edge! Now while pulling the bar manuver the glovebox out. This takes allot of pulling pushing bending etc. Be careful though. The last time i did it i nearly slit my wrist on the sharp metal bar. Just keep at it and dont be scared you yank at the dash a bit.
