Title: Induction & Panel Filters on Cars
Post by: Agreeable Slick on 06 September 2006, 14:15
Right let's get this straight before the lax power crew dilute the truth even more.

They are air filters, they filter air. They give no noticable increase in power, they MIGHT improve mid range response slightly, but not noticably.

If you want any performance increase then you will need to sort out the entire breathing system, I.E. i direct cold air feed, a full stainless exhaust system to allow fast discharge of used gases.

If you want a throaty sound, then yes buy one, get a replacement panel element, and then drill some holes in the wing side of the air box.

that is all.
