Title: top mounts

my gf's mum has just been quoted £180 to do the top mounts on the front of her mk4 cabrio... rip off???
i looked at gsf and they charge £6+vat each for the mounts them selves, leaving about £160 labour... sounds dodgy to me!

I dont think the gsf topmounts are that good i replaced mine with the originals from vw which are £38ish a pair. The job isnt that bad but the suspension unit still needs to come out but doesnt have to be dismantled i wouldnt pay more than £60-100 labour at a regular garage.
