Title: 1997 Mk3 Gti Front Bumper

Hi all,

My (black) front bumper is cracked. I have contacted GSF and they state that they only have bumpers for Gtis up to mid-95.

Can anyone please tell me what the changes were at that date? Is there anywhere else well known that produces pattern parts if I cannot obtain from them?

i think the 95 onwards bumpers are colour coded so the plastic is slighlty diff in texture for paint purposes. the pre 95's are textured top rubbing strips and paintable lower halfs.  should really amke a difference if you get a pre 95 bumper just get a body shop to sand it back for you so that the paint is a smooth finish
