have a look at VR6 ROB's project page as he has just done this. Its good reading! If you can get one for free then go for it!

If you car is post 90 then its almost plug and play.
your gona need the sub frame form a mk3 or corrado.
then your gona want uprated ARBs and a descent set of coil overs and a full set of puly bushs to get the handling back!
If you can get a vr6 engine and all anciliarys (gear box loom etc ) then youve got a result and there should be nothing stopping you!

How we doing?
All i will say is make sure you get all the bits.
I have a mk2 gti with a 2.9vr6 conversion and who ever done it done half a job,as i am finding out know. Mechanically it was done well but electrically not so.
Trying to get the diagnostic plug to work, according to auto spark plug isn't recognising the sensors from the car or something like that.
So be careful as i have got my work cut out.
