Title: arm rest retro fit?
Post by: willsdad on 31 August 2006, 10:29
Hi guys,

Wonder can anybody help?
Looking to buy new GTI in next month or so, will probably buy from a supermarket or an importer depending on availability and so wont be able to place my own spec. I've always had arm rests in my previous golfs / audis and wonder if it can be retro fitted and cost? I'm not too bothered about the CD or ipod connection.
Thanks in advance

Yo

New to forum. but I have to tell you that the £115 option actually costs around £700 retro and at least 3 trips to VW in my recent experience. Hope this helps.

yes that sounds as expensive and time consuming as I thought it might be

If anybody else is interested I have managed to find a retrofit arm rest on vagparts.com (enter armrest in search engine) that costs £163 plus vat. Only problem is that it wont house the cd multichanger. I've ordered an oem sat nav unit to fit (from ebay not stealer) and would like a cd multichanger as I dont want to remove the DVD everytime I want to play a cd. However the only vw one I can find is the one that fits in the armrest.....any other suggestions?
