Title: 1.8T Estate newbie question..
Post by: Joe4130 on 31 August 2006, 09:50
Hi, I wonder if anyone can shed some light on this..I have found a dealer advertising a Mk4 Estate car he calls a 1.8T GTi, on an 01 plate.
HPI check has this reg no as a 1.8T, but I can't find any info on an estate 1.8T or a GTi Estate model. The spec is as GTI (but no Recaros), I want a bigger car to replace my ageing Mk3 GTi, and this sounds ideal, but I am a bit reluctant to pay top book GTi price on a car I have trouble identifing..Thanks in advance.

Sounds like he is using poetic license...

It was never badged as a GTI, but mechanically identical, not sure about suspension though.

Do you need the extra space? never been a fan of any Golf estate's looks
