Title: handbrake light

was driving yesterday in the wet when i noticed my handbrake light was on, stopped at traffic lights, pressed the handbrake and depressed it, still light on, turned off ignition and then on again and light went off as soon as i put the handbrake down.Happened again any ideas?

check your brake fluid levels...

Probably the sensor in the brake fluid cap gone to pot, very common.
