Title: New Lock Set

Got a 1.6s...for a new lock set what do i need? silly question i knw....

Set on ebay from america...got all the barrels basically...will that do? (igition, 2 doors, glove box, and boot and 2 master keys and da plastic one)

because some people are saying i need a ecu/transponder...

also the set is from a gti so its got the remote locking key, my car atm hasnt got remote locking, will it have remote locking then?

I wouldnt buy a set for another car as i dont think it would work as the keys are coded to the cars ecu to start it and the key blades match the doors lock. Whats the problem with your lock set at the moment? id see your dealer to see what they think as i might be wrong and might be cheaper and simpler doing it through them.
