Hello Owen,
In all honesty i would like some verification that this is a genuine offer. no offence but there have been some fraud on the internet so iam a bit wary. if you are genuine then you wont take offence, perhaps some contact details for your shipping agent? or perhaps your full address and phone number in switzerland?
i have no problem selling the car to someone outside the country but i hope you can understand i want to be sure this is a genuine offer.
i will look forward to your response

one of them is really small sorry i dunno why photobucket resized it?!?!
There is some sevice history and all bar 3 old mots, it is a solid car i brought it because the car was so solid and im more concerned with bodywork than mechanicals cos body work is £Â£Ã‚£Ã‚£ to sort properly. as far as problems go it needs a new heater control cable for the rear footwell flaps, a new bulb in the dash and thats it! it is on the original engine which has done 44000 miles. im selling it because im at university and wanted a car and i have always wanted a beetle so got one cos i dont do many miles at all. but recently for my placements im doing round trips of an hour everyday and i dont wanna put miles and miles on it. i just bought it at the wrong time lol cos i was impatient!
hope this helps and that the links etc work ok any more questions etc email or ring, i can take more photos if you want of anything specific.
could you just let me know where u saw the advert?

scamming waste of time mofo!
-
thats what i thought. will see if he wants to do a direct electronic transfer!! but yeah it didnt feel right to me either.........
-
a girl at work advertised her and got emails from some guy in Austria I think which turned out to be a time waster. I wouldnt bother with it mate. If he is in the trade of buying and selling cars then surely its not going to be very cost effective to have to pay for thr car then have to pay for it to be shipped. Plus then when it gets there it will have the steering wheel on the wrong side so will be hard to shift. That is assuming that switzerland drives on the opposite side to us.
-
thought you only just bought that?
-
yeah i did joe but things happen and plans change lol +i love spending money lol
-
scam.
i had this all last week. Dont advertise on autotrader. all you get is scams and canvassers
I still cant understand how this bullsh!t works?
-
What Blue says is true about autotrader - some fckwit canvasser woke us up before 9am this morning  .
Also, all I get off loot are scam emails
-
turn up and give me the cash mofo!
-
hi, I had something simular that I actually did, all that un-nerved at the time was that this bloke had my details and no. and kept ringing me everyday to see if funds had cleared so that the second part of the sale could occur, in your case this guy could push to move the car before the funds cleared, after they removed car the funds are rejected! I took a chance on a scrapper, and they never did pick it up! If you getting the money you after and the funds go in your bank its not really a scam! All I can say is that I'd never do it again, I have looked back and thought what did you do that for?
Go with instinct not your gut, by the sounds of it the motor you got will sell easy with a bit of pushing! Good luck!
-
I bought my Oaky off Autotrader...... no probs
-
I had emails like that when selling one of my old cars, and when selling my Gamecube.
"my agent will give you cheque and then you can send it over"
then most likely the cheque bounces or is cancelled, they have the item and the money.
I'll never sell a car to someone with Paypal or with a cheque unless they are happy to wait for the funds to clear before they get it.
Cash is best, but it could be fake notes. The best bet (if you're really suspicious) is to take the buyer to a bank, and either get him to withdraw the whole amount over the counter or from the machine, or as I did once, take him to your bank and pay in the cash he gave you to your account. If the cashier accepts it and it goes into your account, then all is in the clear.
Personally, I'd only sell to a non-UK buyer if they were willing to come and collect the car.
-
cash on collection
no cheques no paypal no bank transfer
thats the only way you can be shure nowadays
-
scam....instant scam....
-
And cheques can be recalled even after they have cleared.

right he can basically suck his own nob then unless he turns up from sweden with crips notage he can f**k off bloody arsehole
-
Does sound like a scam , however i dont think you can cancel/recall a bankers draft .
-
Happened to me too with my Beemer, they even issued me with a bank draft, so I took it in to my bank to show them and it was a fraudulent one, look spot on too, you would never know
-
christ! best steer well clear then
-
Looks like a scam see
http://www.autotrader.co.uk/CARS/sell/cc/fr-1.jsp
Also mentions Bankers Drafts that are accepted by the bank and later withdrawn!
-
ok i forwarded it to the yahoo thing gonna steer clear cheers guys
-
defo a scam bud.i sold my astra coupe before i got my golf and all i got was emails from all over saying the same thing.i searched on autotrader website and it tells you there that its a scam.they send someone to pick the car up but pay with a very realistic bankers draft which is fake, banks struggle to tell wether its real or not too and then your left with nothing.
-
lol sorry, just noticed we have pretty much cleared all this up.i will pay attention next time.
-
not to worry cheers for your input dude

Despite what people have said about the 'trader' it sells the cars. When selling my Bug, Scooby, and Coop I had them on the forums and no takers...and they where mint. Put them on the trader and withoin a week they had gone.
If you get any dodgy e-mails then just reply not interested and if they persist then report and block...takes 0.02343 of a second
The 'trader' rocks!
