a link for an online bentley manaul or similar for the mk3 golf??? i need to have a look at an exploded diagram of the vr6's heater matrix/fan box etc... as who ever fitted the air con when the replacement engine was fitted hasnt connected the cable for the cold/hot manaul control, the cables there and its connected to the knob but nothting there to connect it to.... went to put the heater ontoday and it didnt work.... air con works a treat though... think theres a pully/lever thing that fits in a hole on the underside, i can stick me finger in and the shafts there that controls the flap inside

I have a PDF version which is all scanned in. I'd email it to you but it's over 30Mb. If you had a site I could upload it to or something I'd give that a go though.
Had a few pages removed I think, since the guy who scanned it obviously had a VR6 and wasn't all that interested in some of the other bits, but it's still something like 500 pages. Very useful I've found.
Got it off Ebay for a couple of quid I think.

The wiring diagram should be the same for the 8 and 16v with aircon, which is covered by Haynes.

got the 'arm' which controls the airflow direction either through the matrix or bypasses it from one of hardcores donor cars today but still a bit missing, so snapped off the collor around the base of the bush area which controls the flap, can know feel the shaft and tried to make some thing and glue it on, worked for a bit then fell off... so ill gonna get the guys at work to turn me up a polyurathere bush to clamp on the shaft then fit the arm to, then connect the cable and wahey.... till then i super glues a raw plug on it and manually turned it to warm... worked a treat.. other than just left the skatepark after a few hours bmx'in and last thing i need on the way home is the heater on... so some fumblin in the dark and i flipped the flap over so i could have the air con on..... ebay bargins.. dont you just luv em
