Title: ReSetting Airbag Light

Recent changed the steering wheel on my 1998 Passat because it was worn. The airbag light is on constantly and I assume it needs resetting. Now I know there is a way to reset the Service light without having to go to main dealer.

Is there a way of resetting the airbag light without a special tool or main dealer?

you'll probably need to hook up VAG COM and clear it that way.

or try disconnecting the battery for an hour  :undecided:
