Title: Tyre sizes and alloys, HELP!
Post by: neil_1821 on 25 August 2006, 12:08: Ok so some may know i'm looking for alloys for my mk3, i've been to a local alloy shop and the cheapest they do are about Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£340 for alloys, tyres and fitting. They were 15 inch alloys with a 195 tyre to keep the speedo correct. What i want to know is what size tyres do i need if i fit 13 or 14 inch tyres to keep them both in. I've seen some ATS deep dish alloys, and there only 13 inch, which is the standard for my golf however i dont know if it would look too small. Does anyone have a pic of a mk3 with these alloys?

Like 195/50 or 55 or 60 etc.

I would say that there is no way you could fit a 13 inch wheel to yer Golf! And it would look silly coz if it was possible the tyres would be huge!

14's are 185/60 I think...
