9.7 seconds for 8v gti!!!!!!! :o thats what vw say!

id say 9.7 is about right is i raced an xr2i the other night and was only just quicker than it.

shockin really consider its called a gti, but hey, nice cars though unlike that rusty ford i raced

i raced a lupo gti and he didnt come passed me and there 8.2! :o i was supprised....

i think they get faster with age.......mine has over 190000 on it! ;D

0 to 60 in 8.3 in a 8v !

anyone any idea what a full sports exhaust and an induction kit would knock off this time? ;)

theses figure were from the vw golf instruction manual!
it says the same top speed nearly the clock 120mph but a diferent 0 - 60
ive always thought they were faster than 9.7 may have been a printing error ???

anyway we all know the gti's go like a b****** !
