Title: bilistic idle on 8v gti
Post by: turbo on 29 December 2003, 19:35
my idle wont set ive cleaned the isv its buzzing and also disconected the temp sender while doing it but when i replace the sender wire it revs high...... ???

not long ago i brought some injection cleaner same stuff as 10k boost you spray in to the throttle... so i took the pvc off and sprayed through that so it would clean the throttle and it worked! idle  was perfect and a few weeks later back to stage 1.....

i have had a new temp sender and that makes no difference.........

would the dealer fix this problem........

any ideas on whats wrong.......... :(

Problem with the temp sensor circuit? sounds strange that it does it only when its plugged in. Test the wiring.

when its running and i disconect the isv it stalls.

i'm going to have another go at setting it again....
if i cant do it i'll book it in at the dealers.
at least if they tell me what needs replacing i can replace it.... :(
