Unless I'm having a brain fart, that's the cam position sensor, yes?

If so it's at the right-hand side of the engine (looking from the front), under all the bits of trim.  You've got to remove the coil pack to get it off, so pay attention to where all the leads go, and be careful with all that stuff - break something and your car may well not run/start.

Plus disconnect battery of course, as always when working with the ignition system (lots of Volts = Lots of pain )

I've removed and cleaned mine, just to be sure (it didn't really need it though).  I might have some instructions at home somewhere :undecided:

I cleaned the hall sender on mine a bit a go. It was behind the coil pack going into the head (coil pack off job, but i left all the ht leads attached to it and moved it out of the way). nice and easy to take out and clean. as ChipDeath said mine didn't really need it either, but when i put mine back together it was stalling all the time so I cleaned out the throttlebody (when reattaching the battery i left the ignition on and left everything for 30mins to reset) and all is fine now!
Hope this helps
