ok i have decided i want to have a supercharged engine
and wondered what would be easier and cheaper to do
im not worried bout speed and stuff so
1.8 g60 or
get my 2.0 8v gti engine charged
what do u guys think would be the better choice

i spoke to a guy last year who did a G60 swap into his mk3, apparently a very straight forward conversion (digi fuel systems are useful for something!)
assuming you can find a complete G60 setup, it will certainly be cheaper and more reliable than trying to boost your existing engine.

got a vw breakers just up thr road from me so parts not a prob
are the driveshafts the same or will i need to change them
and are the engine mounts the same

So why do ya wanna boost the power? If ya just want a quick short burst of acceleration why not go for nitrous oxide?
-
just wanna have the whistle of the charger more than nething.
i prefer to have a loud sound system so there aint no point goin
for speed if ive got all the weight in the boot
