Title: 2.0 8v will not start

right just dun the headgasket on my mk 3 golf 2.0 8v timed all up turned over by hand all fine cum 2 start and the bloody thing willnot it sounds like it wnts 2 but still wil not and also it back fires so i took the fuse/relay out number 30 i fink it was and tried starin it and does the same thing so coud this b the result in i need a new fuse/relay as its the ecu 1
please help cus its doin my head in

the car is sparking and there defo fuel goin threw cus u can smell it and it backfires but it still wnt start

have you double checked the timing? sounds obvious but it's easy to get it wrong  :smiley:

double check the dizzy, its easy to forget that it spins freely once the belt is off :)

got it 2 start but only on 1 or 2 any ideas had 2 ajust the hall sender
still need 2 fin dout the firesing order

cylinder #1 is at the left side nearest the cambelt.
