:sad:can someone pls help me out on this as my 2.0 golf gti 8v holds back when i pull off in 1st gear, i read on this forum about the maf and wonder if that can be the cause of the problem and how much would it cost to replace and also wondered if i could replace it myself

When i brought mine(also a 2.0) i thought it could be quicker so changed the MAF and i was amazed at the peformance gain it felt like it had been chipped, it pulls from the moment you start. Only buy proper bosch ones though as ive had lots of warranty returns within one year from an ebay seller with their useless product altough a damn cheaper than the dealers(£35). But yours could have other problems like ignition etc or a fault which would need the ecu to be scanned.

You get Bosch MAF's from GSF, just ask over the phone and make sure. Don't accept any other clones. Or buy from the Dealer of course
