....and some of you may think im mad but i have sold my Turbo Golf! After 2.5 yrs i have finally let it go aven though i thought i would never sell it. My Girlfriends little brother has bought it so hopefully i will still get to drive it occasionally! :cry:
On a plus note tho i pick up my new project tonight which im sure will get mixed reactions, some will love it, some will probably hate it...Its not a golf but is still a veedub so hopefully you wont mind if i still hang around on the forum.....

:grin: got it in one!
saw it in my local paper, one owner last 11yrs, FSH, immaculate condition and cheap! Its only a baby 1.8 16v tho so its well slow compared to the golf, but the golf needs work that i am not in a position to do at the moment and i wanted something cheaper to run and hopefully more reliable!
Will be well sad tonight when the Golf gets picked up tho.. :sad:

Yeah its 100% standard atm (think it even still has the original stereo) but doubt it will stay that way for long (will be standard for Edition38 tho as am on holiday most of the time til then).
oh well, you can work on having a turbo 16v corrado now then.. :evil:

Im glad my g/f's little bro is goin to ED38 on fri and im not goin til Sat, can you imagine how gutting it would be to be blown away by your own car!
The bit about the raddo i think people are either gonna love or hate tho is the colour..... :embarassed: :smiley:

Its VW Yellow, I think it looks cool (which is the main thing) not sure all of my mates agree tho (but most of the ones who didnt like are not even dubbers so their opinions shouldnt really count cos they obviously dont know anything about cars anyway :laugh:)

There's a G60 knocking round my way in that colour...just don't colour code the vw badge in the grille like he has :sick:

will prob de-badge the grille altogether.
I almost didnt go to see it when i saw what the colour was on the advert but im glad i did in the end cos i actually really like it.... :cool:
Discovered you can select a yellow corrado on dubmodder too!!!! There goes my hopes of gettin any work done today!! :laugh:

yellow rado's (even tho' its not a G60 )are well cool.
sorry to hear you had to let the turbo go, but still....a corrado :smiley:

yellow raddo, sonds cool. Its always a shame to let a car you love go but it wont take long to be completely in love with your yellow beast!

I know how it is though with costs and stuff. Used to travel 25 miles to work and back everyday in a heavily modified 1.3 golf ( :embarassed: ) and it cost me £10 a day!
Corrado's are cool but not as cool as a turbo'd mk 2 golf :cool: Sounds good though buddy :afro:

yeah according to the mfa the golf used to average about 23-25mpg, on the test drive of the corrado (admitedly with the bloke sat next to me so i couldnt thrash it) the corrado was showing an average of 35mpg!!!! :shocked:

Yeah i have wanted one for years (since well before i bought the mk2 turbo!).
Picked it up last night and gave it a polish, i am well chuffed with it, cant believe how mint it is! The last owner had it 12years and it was garaged for most of that and even had a few years in spain! The golf was not too bad but the raddo is immaculate, the only fault on the bodywork is the mirrors are slightly faded!
It has FSH and hundreds of reciepts going all the way back to 1991!
A few of my mates have looked at it and cant believe how cheap i got it and even suggest i clean it up a bit more then just show it as standard, hmm not sure i will be able to resist a few mods tho! :grin:
Obvoiusly its nowhere near as quick as the golf but its not as slow as i had feared and goes well once you get it rolling!
Will get some pics up as soon as i get the digi camera back!! :cool:
You wont be able to miss me at Ed38 now!! :laugh:
