Title: electrics cutting out, engine still running

Help.  Driving along...  Stereo goes off, the wipers slow right down, heater fan cuts out but the engine still runs.  I blip the throttle and everything is back to normal.  Does this sound like the alternator is on its way out?

mine does that too!!, i dont think its my alternator but i might be wrong, mine hasnt got worse its only occasional so ive done nothin about it. think its my 20yr old wiring, but if n e one knows for sure let us know.

check out the load reduction relay, its the big metal one on the fusebox.  It does sound to me like the alternator isn't charging, does the battery light come on with the ignition?

No, no battery light.  It comes on when ignition is at 1 and 2 but stays off when engine running.  How can I check the relay?
