Title: mk3 problems
Post by: hankster on 20 August 2006, 07:39
Ok,

First off nice forum ,

I have got a mk3 2.0 8v 1996 p plate,

Has just incurred a fault, Symptoms: cutting out (revs down to zero) , Only happens when warm, Wont start straight away only when left for a while, Have had my mechanic clean throttle body breather pipe change relay, Hes tried mapping ecu just after stall and it wont let him read ecu, Once left for a while and started reads ecu , No error codes at all, He reckons it might be the crank sensor so he knows someone that has a spare is going to try that tomorrow to see if thats the problem, I have read other posts causing this issue, One in forum does sound similar allthough my oil light doesn't flash, Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions i can try, tia
