I need to get my Rainbow Drivers Seat repaired, the side bolster has worn 'thro' the grey pin strip fabric. Does anyoner know of a trim shop that can do this type of repair, and is the seat fabric available?

It might be cheaper to get one from a breakers

If anyone does know, I'm interested. I've just got a pretty much brand new interior and I'd like to tidy up the one I've taken out. In any case, I like the pie so even the new one will look sorry for itself pretty soon.
Any thoughts?

Make sure the seat foam isn't badly worn as thats when the bar it sits on wears through and then makes a hole in the fabric !

Me too.... :(

i would suggest speaking to joe on this forum as he`s retrimmed a few seats in his time

base or upright? If its the base you can swap a passenger one on in about 5 minutes! If its the upright you can still use a passenger seat upright, but the angle adjuster knob will be on the wrong side, as will the tilt lever if its from/for a 3 door. But how often do you tilt the driver seat forward?
The other option is to get a passenger seat from a 5 door model and swap the fabric over, which is a little more tricky but still doable.
The last thing to worry about, is pre/post 90 seats are different so cannot be swapped over in this way! (well the bases defo are, but the uprights may be the same...)
