just fitted some 19's to my mk4 1.8t, with 235/35/19's am now looking to drop it a little, only have a very small amount of catching with the wheels on full lock, but this is going to be sorted with a set of shims, is lowering it say 30/35mm going to make this worse? and will i need to fit bumpstops too?
TIA.... ;D

if your catching on standard suspension your gonna catch worse when lowered!!!, i assume by 'shimms' you mean wheel spacers???? this may cause problems!!!, yor tyres 235's are fairly wide, i have 225/45/17's on mine with a 40mm drop and no rubbing??? ddi you get the correct offset wheel??? i dont think you want to get spacers etc, sounds like yourr gonna need maybe some arch work (rolling) to iliminate 'scuffing' you mat also need some different anti roll bar mounts pending on how low you go??? ::)

yeah by shims i mean wheel spacers, they only catch on full lock the inside walls just catch, its not a problem in normal driving, they dont catch then.....may look at getting a set of coil overs so i can get the right drop......
