Title: Clutch bite..really high up pedal!!
Post by: boneybradley on 12 August 2006, 18:48
Hi, I have got a problem with my clutch, It bite's nearly at the top of the pedal, I have changed the cable hoping this would sort it but it's still high. I did on my last golf have the broken ratchet problem on the clutch arm and when i broke the car up I kept the new ratchet and clutch arm ( which I will fit at some point). But when driving it feel's very different to when that started to go..any advice please!!                                                                 p.s i didn't mention but my box is a bit notchy when going into first, don't know if this is relevant but i thought i would add this :undecided:

hi
first of all did you replace the cable with a new one,
if so i would say you need a new clutch sometime soon.

Probably a new clutch then if the cable is ok.
