Title: vr6 hunting on tic over

can any one hellp i have recently bought my dream car k reg vr6 76000 miles full vag service and the revs hunt when its ticking over i have changed the plugs leads cap and rotor arm but not worked i would rather sort it my self rather than let mr vw run a fresh and rather large feed in to my walet  ::)

Most likely a problem with the idle stabilisation valve, it is at the rear of the cylinder head, under the plastic cover.
Try removing it and giving it a good clean with WD40 or carb cleaner.
