Title: Heater Playing Up
Post by: Dub_Dude_16v on 12 August 2006, 09:13
Hi guys n girls

Well went out this morning to take the mrs to work and it was raining and rather chilly. So i took out the golf diesel (B, 1985)

So decided (for the first time since Winter), to put my heater on... oh dear what happened next? The windscreen completely misted up and i couldn't see bugger all. Turn the heater off windscreen clears turn it back on misted up again  :undecided:

Any ideas anyone? A leak in the matrix causing steam on the screen?

Cheers peeps.

At the moment it might just be a tiny leak but unfortunately it will only get worse with time, I would try to sort it a.s.a.p because if it goes pop you'll have a footwell full of rather hot water. Alternatively you can bypass the matrix until you can get it sorted, but obviously you'll have no heater !
