Title: gear alignment tool?

Hi can anyone sell me or tell me where to get the alignment tool for the gear selection on a mk2 gti.
I've done a serch but only came back with a guy called dave2227 but he dont sell them so can anyone give me guidence?

theree was one for sale.. im sure it was under the part number of the tool tho.. if u can find that number, or some geek can help then we're sorted!

(and i mean geek in a non nasty way!)

You don't need it, just get someone to hold the gearstick in the neutral position and nip the nut and bolt up - easy peasy.

Neutral and where though? i know vauxhalls are N & 3rd and then nip it up but what about V DuB's?

Try your local dealer, mine still have them  :smiley:. The part number is 3104 (Note to *han* I wish to point out in the strongest way that I am not, never have been and hopfully never will be geeky, I thank you  :wink:)

You don't need one. I did it by shoving a CD case between the gearstick and reverse gate, with the gearstick standing straight up, and some duct tape to hold it in place. The only thing is to make sure you have enough space between the gearstick and reverse gate, the CD case does it. If not you won't be able to select reverse, as I found out  :smiley:

If not will it go into a jiffy bag and go in the post?
I'll pay the postage do you have paypal or i cansend you the postage cost that you paid out back with the tool?
