has any1 had a mk2 golf rallye or got one i hav never seen one on the road only pictures n from all the read ups i hav red they seem to shift well i am thinkin about puttin a rallye grill n lights in my golf when i eventually get one

I think the ralye/jetta look has dated.

If you do what that look, why not the corrado light conversion? it might be tricky to get right but well worth it i think :)

I take it  you haven't seen the cover of this months PVW then?

Crystal lights freshen up the front look I think and it's a straight swap on your old ones.

i saw it on pvw not seen a corrado conversion though i would of thought they would look same as a rallye front

Saw a lot of them (including the one I was riding in) last time I was in Germany.Seem like good fun. My mates was a 8v supersharged version all wheel drive. not sure if they all are or not but yes it did shift and handled nice as well.

That would be like finding bin laden. I think they only made about 100 of them and only 70 were sold to the general public. The rest all went to VW executives and the sort. 240hp with that high reving 16v in an all wheel drive car would be nice though.  ;D

i like the look of the'golf' as it came out of the factory, inmy opion if its spose to look like that then leave it!!! maybe crystals or some thing along the same lines but i prefer the 'orig' look!!!! :D :D :D ;D ;D ;D

I found one on a website for sale, 43k 1 owner, totally standard with ALL extras (i think that was standard tho) in germany for ?13000! that was a while ago now....

I remember reading somewhere that a LTD owner went into a VW dealership and they hadnt heard of this 16v G60 engine before.

So what does this engine fall into? 16v parts? or G60 parts?

says only the fan-belt is a different part available from VW motorsport other parts listed are as G60 and or Rallye parts..there is also a pic details of the 4x4 golf country you guys  mentioned earlier on the above website..
