Could be a plug, a lead the dizzie cap or rotor arm
-
dizzy cap and rotary arm is what someone else said but these were only replaced about 5 months ago could this still possibly be the problem being they are not very old ?? soz for being thick but i havent got a clue
-
It might be worth putting a set of spark plugs in it, do you know when they were changed last ?
-
done that today
-
HT leads ?
-
r they the leads that go on top of plugs if so these were done bout 5 months ago 2

If thats the case the best thing you can do is try and get it to someone who specializes in VW's because one or more of the parts you fitted may have failed but there's no point just guessing which one !
-
ok thanks 4 ure help

what make cap/arm/sparkies did you buy, cheepies from halfords just wont last!
Get your service bits from http://www.vwspares.co.uk
Take your plugs out and carefully examine the gaps, if any are different then they have been bashed about in the box and its thrown the gapping out. If you buy sparkies from vwspares, get the 3 prong type as they are much less prone to having the gapping thrown out of spec. My mate had no end of problems with the single prong type, soon as he switched to the 3 prong type all was well!
If you have an 8v Digi or K-Jet get these:
