Hi all, looking at selling my Golf GTI in december and was wondering in all your eyes how much its worth. The spec is as follows:
Golf GTI 1.8 20v Turbo
83,000 miles
Services last week
Taxed last month
MOTd last month
4 new audi a8 style 18" wheels this year
4 new tyres this year
new induction kit
new air flow sensor last week
new clutch last year
electric windows mirrors
6 disk cd chander
metalic black paint
recaro seats
climate control ac
Washed and waxed every week........  :laugh:
SO HOW MUCH?????

Nice car. Could do with being dropped onto them 18's but yeah, REAL nice.
As for the value, well I dunno. What I can tell you is I got my 1998 one for £3100 2 weeks ago. It had 87k on it (so not much difference). Plus mine is completly standard, yours aint. Yours is also 2 years newer. Now, to me, it wouldn't worth much more than an extra £2000 maybe???
So I would put it at £5000-£5500. But then, some-one else might say its worth a lot more. I hope for your sake they do ;)

my mate bought a 2001 model new years,and he paid £5100 for it at a dealers.
his was standard with 67K on it,
i wouldnt put tooo much of a premium on the nice little extras but its your call really :undecided:

I would consider putting the original wheels back on and selling the Audi ones separately. The car looks very well looked after though, try putting it in your local paper/supermarket for sale board for the price you would ideally like, and see what happens. Probably worth over 5k though.

well i was looking at getting £4800 so if i try and sell it for 5k i will hopefully get what i want. Cheers guys. So you think i should but the original wheels back on? Or i could sell it with the originals included?

You should get what your wanting for it though. Put it in at £5000 - 5200, that way, whoever comes and knocks £400 of what your asking thinks its a bargain ;)
I doubt you'd get much less with the original wheels over the alloys to be honest. Maybe a hundred pounds or so. The wheeels dont really get you the money, just help sell it quicker, maybe.
If you don't sell with the wheels, PM me with how much you'd be looking for them, as they would go nice on my motor ;)

well ill be looking for one like yours around december so depending on the mileage, condition and service history i may be interested.

Well i will not really be using it much from now until i sell, as i have a works van.... so when december comes you have first refusal. It has full service history, mostly by vw, and i have just serviced it last week. Condition is very good for its age, little marks here and there on the bumpers but only noticable close up.... very well looked after as i hoover polish and wax it every week. Im a bit obsessed with my vehicles lol. But if you are interested then just take my email which is dannyhands@btinternet.com and email me when you are ready to buy and we could do a deal. Dan :grin:
