Hi, PCD is 4x100 and you will need some arch work though not done it myself.  Not sure what offset would be best on those wheels, stock is somewhere around 35 i think...

Yep, ET measured in millimetres and the lower it is, the further the wheel sticks out.

^^^ a wheel with an et of 5 (for example) will stick out loads and one of 50 will stick in. 9x16's will definately needs ome sort of arch work unless you're planning on leaving it stock ride height... which would look sh!tter than sh!t!
i've got 8.5x15's with a low drop and had to have alot of chopping done!

9" wheels should have an offset of 15mm if i remember rightly to avoid collisions on the inside of the wheel.
Mine are 9x16 with a pretty substantial drop and stretched/low profile tyres.. still rubs occasionally, and thats with rallye arches. Get yer tinsnips out

Further out would make it worse cos thats where the arches are.

Surely at 9" wide you are going to need some arch work regardless of ride height and offset, wont the tread of the tyre be just out of the arch? either that or he is gonna need a big stretch on the rubber.

I'm running Borbet type A wheels, 9x16 rear 7.5x16 front. You wont have a problem with the front but don't use 215/40/16's on the back if you corner hard, you'll end up running on the tyre walls, trim and role the rear arch lip, trim and put the plastic arch cover back on. You'll be able to run 215/45's on the back. Because of the amount of grip you'll generate with fat rubber front lower and rear strutbraces worked wonders on mine.

If you keep to 7.5 by 16 you'll have no clearance issues and more tyre options, I'm lucky to pay less then £100 for the rears, the front's £50 quid
