Title: Car for the bird!

So it looks like i'm getting a mk1 Cabby for my lovely girl friend!

The one we are looking at on Sat is a 86 1.8 GTI with 123k on the clock. It has a new clutch and exhaust but i know nothing about mk1 ones and i looks like we gotta keep it out side so the roof is of some concern!

What should i be looking for!?? Cheers guys!  ;D
