Title: fuel cap switch thingy
Post by: threadders on 07 August 2006, 21:26
Hi yall

My fuel cap is busted and will not close properly, I have been told that is a MOT fail as well ?

Also been told its a Charlie Uniform November Tango of a job to fix.

Anyone else has the same prob ?

I take it you still get the electronic noise when you push the button by the handbrake, but there's just something in the way when your trying to push the flap shut??

If so, then the motor which moves the pin up & down to lock the flap will be foxtrot uniform charlie kilo echo delta.

Sorry, can't help with DIY, as my motor was under warranty when it went.

Looking at the haynes its only removing some trim and then the motor.  I'd check all your fuses/relays to make sure nothings blown thats causing it not to work firstly.
