Title: Bloody golf!
Post by: Horney on 07 August 2006, 09:08
Day after the wedding on the way home with all the presents the gearbox decides to die on me. Lost 5th then 4th started making nasty grinding noises then 3rd at which point I stopped and called the AA.

I'd only just spent £250 on getting the clutch replaced for the second time in 3 months. I think this car is jinxed!

Anyhoo anyone got a decent MKII 8v Digi gearbox that I can have for cheap?

Cheers,

Nick

Fair play though mate, you seem to have been through a lot with this golf and still have it (for some reason!?)

You're all the way 'darn sarf' aren't you Horney.  I'm fairly sure the guy i just bought my MK2 Digi from has a spare engine and box just sitting there gathering dust. But i'm way up here in geordieland!! You're not going to MITP are you? I'm wondering if anyone from NEfinity could bring it down to you....

Drop me an e-mail and i'll see what i can do...

Iain.

(LOL! Just realised that apart from the camper we have almost the same car collection! Mine's an '88 Park Lane, a '90 GTI 8v and she's got a '00 Siecento!)
