Hi evry1, im new her and am lookin to buy a mk4 gti 1.8 turbo, probly 150bhp.
im going to do air filter, full exhaust (turbo back), and get it chipped.
I would be gratefull if u could post ur mods, and 0-60 times.
-
any idea on bhp aswell????
-
With those mods should be looking at 220-230bhp depending on the engine code your car has. Do a search on here regarding the codes.
I think my standard 150bhp has a 0-60 in about 8 seconds, but 50-70 times (overtaking) is where it counts in the real world I reckon.

Depends on whole host of factors...how old is your car?? i have 98 mk 4 GTI T with millltek cat-back .exhaust, bailey re-circ valve, ECU remap standard air filter. Haven't had it measured on rolling road, but realistically reckon i'm knocking out about 190-195bhp at the wheels. I'm guesiing 0-60 in about 7 seconds. Having said that, there's a lot of other stuff to take into account. My car feels a lot more rapid with optimax, with no passengers and with 1/4 tank petrol. I wouldn't get too hung up on 0-60 times tho, one bad gear change and you'd be shown up by a slower car, or be quicker than a supposedly faster car.

Really!!!
Sure you don't mean at the flywheel??
-
sorry yeah, at the flywheel, i just woke up after heavy night when i wrote that, good spot !!

Most remapped Golfs pushing 200+ hp should be able to achieve 0-60 times of around 6.5 secs if not less.
-
i made a 6.2 according to a g-tech meter, thats with all the usual bolt-on goodies and revo (AGU engine). f*ck all petrol and absolutely nothing in the boot though, not even a parcel shelf
not wanting to sound boring but Phil, how good is your mpg under normal driving conditions now with the IHI ?
-
Under normal driving i don't think there is a great deal of difference to a remapped car, but ever since i changed my maf and injectors the ecu does not show correct readings for mpg.
