what bar/psi does the turbo run at on a mk4?
-
not sure will have a gander on uk mk4 site and try to find out for you!!, (im assuming u want standard psi figures??)
-
standard yes please... ;)
-
0.6 bar/9 psi, so ive been reliably informed!!! hope this helps!! ;D
-
Thanx.
Very interesting.. I've heard it said that anything below at least 1bar is not gonna give that kick which people come to expect from a turbo charged car.
I don't understand why manufacturers don't crank it up as standard?
They're givin turbos a bad name!?
-
yeah i know what your sayin !!!!, ive had many a 'turbo' car i was a full on turbo rush boy in the early 90's!!! loads of lag then a big fookin kick up the arse!!!!, they dont seem to do it like that now!!, smaller turbos and less lag half the time you dont even know youve got a blower on there !!! un less remapped/chipped etc!!!, i always used to run bleed valves and crank em open a bit when i used to get bored!!, and if i had the turbo model golf id do the same!! have got a nice brass bleed valve sat in me shed now!!!, :D :D :D
