Title: Enclosure
Post by: ItsHarry on 04 August 2006, 12:26
Howdo!

I have decided to make my own enclosure for the boot of my MK3. (unless anyone can tell me where I can get one!!)

It'll be MDF, but what thickness? I'm guessing 18mm, but that could just be me. It'll be housing either a 10" or 12" sub, my Infinity 6x9's & two amps by the way...

Furthermore, is there anywhere I could get like a template for this kind of thing??

What shape do ya want? And where do you want to site it?

Depending on the above the thickness depends on the size of the unbraced panels. The larger the panel the thicker MDF you should use. If only small then 12mm can be ok. but large boxes need 18mm at least.
